At a glance (lite)

  • Five sister ships, delivered 2008 to 2012, all roughly 122,000 to 125,000 gross tons (Silhouette 122,210 GT) and (Reflection 125,366 GT).
  • The signature: a half-acre of real grass, the Lawn Club, on the top deck of most of the class.
  • Reflection is the largest (3,046 guests on Celebrity's page); Silhouette lists 2,902 on Celebrity's page (other sources say about 2,886; use Celebrity's booking page).
  • Typical homeports: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Tampa, Seattle, Vancouver, plus Europe and Australia seasons. As of 2026-10-11; confirm on celebritycruises.com.
  • Book specialty dining and spa before you board, usually in the Celebrity app or on your booking page (windows vary; confirm).
  • Most cruisers get this wrong: they eat dinner at 7:30 in the main dining room every night and miss the Lawn Club at sunset.

The ship in brief

The Solstice class is Celebrity's grass-on-the-roof family. Solstice, Equinox and Eclipse share a hull size; Silhouette and Reflection are a bit bigger, and Reflection is biggest of all. Interiors lean modern and calm rather than loud: a big theater, a quiet adults-only Solarium, a three-deck-feeling main dining room. If you want waterslides and a mega-kids world, look at other lines; if you want grown-up polish at mainstream prices, this is the class.

Three free things (each with a photo)

  1. Walk the Lawn Club at golden hour. Real grass, lawn games, a view aft. On ships that still have it. Photo: Celebrity Silhouette at sea (Wikimedia).
  2. Sail-away from Canada Place or Port Everglades from the top deck. Free, spectacular, no reservation. Photo: Canada Place, Vancouver.
  3. Spend a sea-day morning in the Solarium (typically adults-only; confirm). Photo: Celebrity Equinox exterior.

The 7-day plan, short version

Day 1 explore and book. Day 2 and 3 settle in. Midweek: splurge dinner. Last days: pack the night before. Full plan below in the full guide.

What the lite guide covers

Five ships, one design idea: Celebrity took a mainstream mega-ship hull and gave it a calmer, more adult feel. The Lawn Club is the headline, but the class is just as much about a quiet pool area, a good theater and a decent range of restaurants. This free version tells you which ship to look at, what is free to enjoy, and what to double check. The paid guide adds the cabin zones, the dining plan, the full seven-day schedule, port notes, a points playbook and printable pages.

Which ship?

  • Solstice (2008), Equinox (2009), Eclipse (2010): the three smaller sisters, about 121,878 gross tons per Wikipedia (not an official source).
  • Silhouette (2011): 122,210 gross tons on Celebrity's own page, with the Lawn Club Grill listed .
  • Reflection (2012): the biggest, 125,366 gross tons and 3,046 guests on Celebrity's page, with a half-acre of real grass in the Lawn Club .
  • Extra deck on Reflection? Commonly reported but we could not confirm; the official deck plans will show it.
  • Lawn Club on every ship? Wikipedia says it was removed from Solstice in 2026 and replaced with Sunset Park; confirm before you book.
  • Hot Glass Show: historical on Solstice, Equinox and Eclipse; current status unconfirmed.

Fares and inclusions

Celebrity sells cruise-only and All Included style fares. Typically an All Included fare bundles drinks, wifi and gratuities, but the rules (and what the "Classic" drink package covers) change, and the official FAQ page would not open from our cloud. Read the current page: https://www.celebritycruises.com/faq/all-included. Gratuity rates are on Celebrity's gratuities FAQ page; confirm there.

Where they sail

Typically Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) and Tampa, Alaska from Vancouver and Seattle, plus Europe and Australia. As of 2026-10-11; confirm on celebritycruises.com. Port Tampa Bay confirms Celebrity is among five lines homeported there . Mexico calls need a human review of current advisories.

Getting there with points

Fly to FLL, TPA, SEA or YVR using your bank points at the transfer ratios in the full guide (for example United 1:1 from Chase or Bilt, Delta 1:1 from Amex, Aeroplan 1:1 from several banks). Use a hotel near the port the night before and check the chain's map; the full guide includes the leg-by-leg playbook and a points-versus-cash rule.

Honest downsides

The ships are over a decade old, refits changed venue lineups, buffet lines can be long, and specialty dinners cost extra. We include these so you can decide with open eyes.

A day on board, in three lines

Morning: Solarium or a quiet coffee and a walk around the top deck before the crowds. Afternoon: Lawn Club games, a late lunch, and a look at the daily schedule in the Celebrity app. Evening: sunset from the aft decks, dinner, and the theater if a show appeals. Most of that is free.

Three quick cabin rules

First, mid-ship and low is steadiest if you worry about motion. Second, check what sits above and below your cabin on the deck plan; the Oceanview Café and the theater are the usual noise sources. Third, if you want the spa nearby, ask about AquaClass, which is typically placed close to it. These are general ship-design rules; the paid guide explains them without inventing any cabin numbers.

Before you pay

Open your ship's official page, read the current venue list, check the sailing's port calls, and read what your fare includes. Then come back for the full plan. Updates to this guide will note the date they were checked, so you can tell how fresh each fact is.

One last honest note: Solstice-class ships are older than Celebrity's Edge class, so expect a classic layout rather than the newest hardware, and expect refit details (which venues were swapped, which lounges renamed) to vary ship by ship. The full guide labels every one of those as confirmed, historical or "commonly reported", so you know exactly which facts to double-check against your own sailing before you book.

This is the free lite guide. The full day-by-day guide, with maps, photo stops, rain plans and the points playbook, is part of PerkJolt All-Access.

Good to know before you go

We checked what we could on 2026-10-11. Confirm fares, fees, package prices, gratuity rates, deck plans, itineraries and schedules on the line's official page or in your booking/the line's app before you sail. Celebrity's All Included FAQ page would not open from our cloud, so inclusions are described generally and flagged.
