Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PerkJolt (perkjolt.com) collects, how we use it and who we share it with. By using the site you acknowledge this policy. We may add new tools and partners at any time, and we will update this page when we do.

Information you give us

• Newsletter and forms: your email address and anything else you submit, with dates of signup and confirmation.
• Messages: emails you send us and the address you send from.

Guides and lite guides. When you request a free lite guide we store your email address and which guide you asked for, email you the guide link, and send a separate Daily Jolt confirmation that you choose whether to accept. When you buy a guide or All-Access we create an account for you and keep the order, the guides you own, and a record of purchases and refunds so we can give you access and measure which guides and campaigns work. Guide PDFs are licensed to you and carry your name, email and a license number on each page. We record these events with a hashed version of your email and, unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal or you have opted out, the ad or campaign that brought you to us.

Information collected automatically

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, SDKs, server logs and similar technologies to collect information about your device and how you use the site, including:

• IP address, approximate location, device, browser, operating system and language;
• pages viewed, links and offers clicked, referring site, search terms, time on page and scrolling;
• session recordings and heatmaps of clicks, taps, mouse movement and scrolling;
• advertising and device identifiers, and whether you later visit, apply for or buy from a partner.

Tools and partners we use or may use

• Analytics and session recording (for example Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the site is used and improve it.
• Advertising and remarketing pixels (for example Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, X and similar ad platforms) to measure ads and show you PerkJolt or partner ads on other sites and apps.
• Affiliate networks and partners (card issuers, airlines, hotels, booking and tour sites, and networks such as Impact, CJ, Awin, Rakuten and similar) that set cookies or receive click identifiers so commissions can be credited.
• Email and infrastructure providers that host the site and send email, which may record opens and clicks.
• Newsletter platform: when you confirm a subscription to The Daily Jolt (from the newsletter form or a lite-guide signup), we add your email address to our newsletter list on beehiiv, which stores it, sends the newsletter and records opens and clicks. Unsubscribing from any newsletter removes you from future sends.

These partners may combine information from PerkJolt with information they collect elsewhere, and use it under their own privacy policies.

How we use information

To run, secure and improve the site; send newsletters and updates; measure and personalize content, offers and advertising; earn and reconcile affiliate commissions; analyze trends; and comply with the law.

How we share information

We share information with the analytics, advertising, affiliate, email and hosting partners described above; with service providers working for us; with a buyer or successor if PerkJolt is sold or merged; and when required by law. Sharing identifiers with advertising partners for targeted advertising may count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some US state laws.

Your choices and rights

• Email: unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter.
• Cookies and ads: you can block or delete cookies in your browser, use the Global Privacy Control signal, and opt out of interest-based ads at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
• Do not sell or share: residents of California and other states with similar laws can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and request access to, correction of or deletion of their information, by emailing hello@perkjolt.com. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
• Visitors from the UK and EU: you may have additional rights, including to object to processing; contact us at the address below.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as it is useful for the purposes above or as required by law, and use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Children

PerkJolt is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
