InterContinental Taipei opens beside Taipei Dome

IHG Hotels & Resorts announced on 12 October 2026 that InterContinental Taipei has opened in the Taipei Dome complex in the Xinyi District, close to Taipei 101. It has 347 rooms and is the brand's flagship in Taiwan.

The hotel was developed with Farglory Group. It is the partners' second InterContinental project together, after InterContinental Kaohsiung. IHG says the design theme is "In Taipei, For Taipei," drawing on the city's architecture and culture.

Rooms. Classic Rooms start at about 38 square meters, and some have views of Taipei 101. Residential-style suites start at about 76 square meters and include a full kitchen, a dining area and in-suite laundry.

Dining and amenities. IHG lists seven dining concepts, including restaurants led by chef Akira Back. Club InterContinental is on the amenity list, though the release gives no detail on what it includes. There is also an indoor pool, a fitness centre and event spaces.

The points angle. The release does not publish award prices or earning details for this hotel.
