Singapore Airlines and Air India widen their partnership

On Oct 7, 2026, Singapore Airlines and Air India announced the first phase of initiatives under the Commercial Cooperation Framework Agreement they signed in January 2026.

• Codeshare: 126 weekly flights between Singapore and eight Indian cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
• Standalone booking: from Oct 15, 2026, eligible flights operated by either airline can be booked on their own through either airline's site, app or travel agents. Previously a codeshare booking had to include a flight operated by the selling airline.
• Status benefits: from Q2 2027 on eligible routes, Maharaja Club Platinum and KrisFlyer PPS Club members get priority check-in and boarding; Maharaja Club Silver and KrisFlyer Elite Silver members get extra baggage allowance and priority boarding.

All dates are as of Oct 12, 2026; confirm on the Singapore Airlines press release. The release does not say which routes qualify for the Q2 2027 benefits or how large the baggage allowance is.

Earning. Mileage earning was already widened in April 2026: both KrisFlyer and Maharaja Club expanded eligible booking classes and revised earn rates across all cabins. The release does not mention redemption changes or lounge access.

Eligible routes and benefits may change, so confirm details on the official Singapore Airlines page before you book or transfer.
