Oceania Vista and Allura Ship Guide 2026-2027: Decks, Cabins, Dining and a Sample Week
At a glance
- Two sister ships in Oceania's newest pair: Oceania Vista (2023) and Oceania Allura (2025) .
- Both list roughly 68,000 tons and 791 feet; Vista lists 607 suites and rooms, Allura 605 .
- Both pages name the Grand Dining Room, Polo Grill and Aquamar Kitchen; Allura's page also names Terrace Cafe and a Neapolitan trattoria .
- The line's pages we could read did not give a class name or guest capacity. The class name, as commonly reported and unverified, is the Allura class; confirm on oceaniacruises.com/ships/vista.
- Cabin and deck advice for one ship applies to the other, but always check your own ship's deck plan on the ship page.
- Typical trip length: 7 to 12 nights. Our sample is a 7-night Venice to Athens week, labelled representative, not a published sailing.
- The one thing most people get wrong: assuming "sister ships" means identical menus, schedules or cabin numbers. Compare the two ship pages, then your deck plan.
- Fares, gratuities and loyalty rules live in our line guide: /guides/cruises/oceania-cruises/.
Who this is for. Travelers who want a smaller, food-first ship and itineraries built around ports rather than pool decks. If you want waterslides, a big kids' program or a casino-and-nightclub scene, look elsewhere. If you want a quiet veranda, a very good dinner and a long day ashore in a town you have wanted to see for years, this is your kind of ship.
The ships in brief. Vista and Allura are close copies: the same length, the same tonnage and a bit over 600 cabins each. That is small enough that you will recognize faces by day three, and large enough that you still have a real choice at dinner. Which one you sail is usually decided by the itinerary and the dates, not by preference. Compared with the line's older ships they are the line's newest and, as commonly described, largest ships (confirm on oceaniacruises.com), but they are still small next to mainstream cruise ships, which means shorter walks, fewer lines and a quieter hum. The trade-off is fewer places to disappear to if the weather turns and the lounges fill.
Rough cost, three ways. Fill the blanks from your own quote; we never quote a specific sailing's fare, and we have not verified the line's current gratuity or package amounts.

Document basics. A passport valid for your whole trip is the starting point, and each country sets its own rules on top. Our sample week touches Italy (Level 2 advisory, issued Sept 10, 2026 (checked Oct 13, 2026)), Croatia (Level 1, May 18, 2026 (checked Oct 13, 2026)) and Greece (Level 1, Oct 23, 2025 (checked Oct 13, 2026)). The EU's planned ETIAS travel authorization and Entry/Exit System: status and start dates not verified; check the EU's official pages (travel-europe.europa.eu) before you travel. Also check your passport's validity rule for each country on its government page.
The sample week in brief. Our representative route (not a published sailing) runs Venice, a sea day, Split, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Katakolon for Ancient Olympia, a second sea day, and Athens by way of Piraeus. It is a good test of what a small ship does well: three of the four middle ports have old towns you can walk end to end from the pier or a short ride away, and the sea days are where the ship itself gets its turn. Port times in the full guide are typical, not published; the ship's daily program is the final word.
How to choose between the two ships. Pick the itinerary first, then the date, then the price. If two sailings tie, open both ship pages and compare the venue lists: Allura's page names Terrace Cafe and a Neapolitan trattoria, while the text we could read for Vista did not . That may be a page difference rather than a ship difference, so confirm before you let it decide anything.

| What to book first. On a ship this size, the two bookings that matter most after your cabin are your specialty dinners and any small-group excursion you are set on. Both can sell out before the week is half over. Check in your booking or the line's app when each one opens, and write the date here |
3 free things on a port-heavy Venice to Athens week
- Dubrovnik's Stradun at 7 a.m. Walking the polished limestone main street before tour groups arrive costs nothing, and the light on the stone is the best of the day. (Walking the city walls is not free; check the price on the official city page.)
- Venice from the open deck at sail-away. The Grand Canal basin, the San Marco skyline and the lagoon slide past from the rail, and you pay nothing beyond the fare you already paid.
- Split's Peristyle, inside Diocletian's Palace. The old palace lanes are public streets, and the open square with its columns is free to stand in; only the museums, bell tower and cellars charge, so confirm any ticket on the city's official page.
What you get from the full guide. The deck-by-deck layout in plain words, how to choose and avoid cabins by location, a dining plan with what to reserve on day one, a full eight-day sample route with times, photo stops, rain backups and half-day cuts, a points playbook for the flights, an Insider's checklist, a fill-in cost sheet and a printable one-pager per day. It is the full guide below, $4.99.
This is the free lite guide. The full day-by-day guide, with maps, photo stops, rain plans and the points playbook, is part of PerkJolt All-Access.
Good to know before you go
Ships, fees, itineraries and entry rules move, sometimes mid-season. Everything below was checked on 2026-10-13; where an official page would not open we say so and name the page to confirm on. Check oceaniacruises.com or your own booking before you pay for anything that affects your money or safety.
