Delta’s 2027 Europe plan: Boston–Reykjavík, Boston–Venice, Detroit–Athens and Austin–Paris

Delta's release on new Europe service, first published Sept. 25, 2026 and edited Oct. 16, now lists four new nonstop routes for 2027, headed by a Boston–Reykjavík (KEF) flight. The page names the aircraft and cabins for each route but does not give booking-open dates, fares or flight times .

The four routes

Boston–Reykjavík is a new daily nonstop running April 12 through Oct. 30, 2027, on a Boeing 757-200 with Premium Select, Comfort and Main Cabin (no Delta One). Boston–Venice flies four times a week from May 7 through Oct. 29, 2027, on an Airbus A330-300 with Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort and Main. Detroit–Athens flies three times a week from June 8 through Oct. 28, 2027, on an A330-200 with the same four cabins. Austin–Paris (CDG) is a daily summer-season route starting March 27, 2027, on an A330-900neo with the four cabins .

What the page does not say

The release does not say when each route opens for sale, what the fares or award prices will be, or what time the flights depart. Until the schedules load, any search for these dates will show nothing, and award space typically appears after the cash schedule opens (as of Oct 21, 2026; confirm on delta.com).

The Reykjavík flight is a single-aisle 757, which means no Delta One cabin. If you are redeeming for lie-flat seats, the Venice, Athens and Paris routes are the ones listed with Delta One.

Points angle

Delta SkyMiles is a transfer partner of Amex Membership Rewards at 1:1 per our transfer chart (checked Oct. 8, 2026; confirm on americanexpress.com before you transfer). Do not move points for a route that has not opened for booking; wait until you can see the SkyMiles price for your dates.

The number: April 12, 2027, first Boston–Reykjavík departure. What to do: Set an alert on delta.com for the route and dates, and hold your points until award prices show.
