Hilton Honors Lets You Pay With Points at Digital Check Out in the App
Hilton has added a way to spend Hilton Honors points without stopping at the front desk. The new Pay with Points benefit lets members apply points toward eligible hotel charges during Digital Check Out in the Hilton Honors app (checked Oct 22, 2026).
How it works
According to Hilton's release, members review their folio in the app, pick from the available redemption options and apply points to eligible charges themselves. No visit to the front desk is needed. The benefit launched on October 21, 2026 (checked Oct 22, 2026).
Who can use it and where
Hilton lists Silver, Gold, Diamond and Diamond Reserve members as eligible. At launch it is available at 150 participating hotels in the U.S. Hilton expects to expand to more than 800 hotels by the end of 2026, with a planned full rollout to more than 6,000 participating properties in the U.S. and Canada in early 2027 (checked Oct 22, 2026).
What to know before you rely on it
The benefit applies only at participating hotels and only to eligible hotel charges, and Hilton says availability and redemption options may vary by property. The release excerpt we read does not say how many points a dollar of charges costs, so check the redemption options shown in your app folio before you decide whether points or cash is better for you. Rollout dates are Hilton's plans and can shift.
As of Oct 22, 2026; confirm on stories.hilton.com and in the Hilton Honors app for your hotel before you travel.
