Emirates adds Dubai–Tokyo Narita on Oct 26 and opens a Tokyo travel store

Emirates announced on Oct 14, 2026 that it is opening a Tokyo Travel Store and adding a third Japanese gateway to its network .

The new flight

Dubai–Tokyo Narita service starts Oct 26, 2026, on a Boeing 777-300ER. With it, Emirates reaches 28 weekly flights to Japan across Narita, Haneda and Kansai. The airline says the flight adds more than 300 seats in each direction and about 20 tonnes a day of cargo capacity . The schedule is as of Oct 14, 2026; confirm on emirates.com.

The Tokyo Travel Store

The store is at Otemachi One, 1F. It is open Monday to Friday, 11:00 to 19:00, and closed on weekends and holidays. It follows the Osaka store, which opened in July 2025 . This is mostly useful if you are based in Tokyo, but it shows Emirates is putting more into Japan.

Why points travelers might care

Emirates Skywards is a transfer partner of Amex, Chase, Capital One, Citi and Bilt. Transfer ratios and timing change, so check the current numbers on our transfer partner chart before moving anything. Award space on a new route is not guaranteed, and we have not checked availability on this one.

A Japan routing without JAL or ANA

Most US flyers think of Japan Airlines or ANA for Japan. Emirates offers another way to get there: fly from a US gateway to Dubai, then on to Tokyo. That routing is long, and the connection in Dubai adds hours, so it makes sense mainly when the price in points or cash beats the direct options, or when you want to break up the journey. Narita is one of three Japanese airports Emirates serves, so you can compare Haneda and Kansai too, depending on where in Japan you are headed.

If you are planning a larger trip, our guides cover how to build routes around points.

Dates, schedules and store hours are as of Oct 14, 2026; confirm on emirates.com.
