Credit Card Transfer Partners Chart (October 2026)
Checked against each bank’s official partner page on October 8, 2026. Ratios are standard rates; temporary transfer bonuses are not included.
Flexible bank points are valuable because you can move them to airline and hotel programs. This chart shows every current partner for the five major US programs, and how many partner miles or points you get for each bank point. “1:1” means 1,000 bank points become 1,000 partner miles; “5:4” means 1,000 become 800.

* Citi ratios shown are for the Strata Elite, Strata Premier and Prestige cards. Other ThankYou cards receive 70% of the amount shown (for example, 1,000 points become 700 miles at 1:1). Bilt also transfers to Amtrak Guest Rewards at 2:1.

Rules that trip people up
- Transfers are one-way. Every program treats transfers as final. Find and confirm award space before you move points.
- Chase: only Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve and Ink Business Preferred cardholders can transfer, typically in 1,000-point increments, and transfers can take up to 7 business days. Hyatt moved from 1:1 to 4:3; the legacy 1:1 rate for older cards ended September 30, 2026.
- American Express: minimum 1,000 points. Transfers to US airlines (Delta, JetBlue) carry an excise tax offset fee of $0.0006 per point, capped at $99.
- Capital One: minimum 1,000 miles; Choice Privileges transfers work for US-based Choice accounts only.
- Citi: minimum 1,000 points; ratio depends on which card you hold (see note above). American AAdvantage is limited to the cards Citi names on the partner page.
- Bilt: minimum 2,000 points for Blue status and 1,000 for Silver and above; Southwest transfers can take up to 72 hours.
- Names must match. The name on your bank account and the loyalty account usually has to be identical.

Step-by-step pair guides: see every transfer partner guide.
Transferring rewards means moving a balance from one program into another program’s currency. It changes which booking rules apply to that balance. Start with the trip and the receiving program, then decide whether a transfer helps. A familiar airline name in a partner list is a research lead; it is not evidence that the airline has released reward seats for your dates or that every account can use the same transfer terms.
Read relationships in the right direction
The guides below cover five source currencies: Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou, Capital One, and Bilt Rewards. A listed bank-to-airline relationship describes the direction from the source currency into the receiving program. Do not assume that the same relationship works in reverse or between two different airline programs. The airline that operates your flight can also be different from the program whose points pay for it.
Each partner table shows its check dates and links to the source program. Start with the reward you want, then compare the currencies that can reach it. Account eligibility, transfer fees, and the receiving program’s own booking rules all affect the decision. Keep the transfer quote beside the award quote so you can compare the total cost, and check that the receiving membership number belongs to the right account before submitting the transaction.
Compare the whole redemption
First search the receiving program for the exact trip and passenger count. Record the required points, taxes, booking charges, cabin, and cancellation conditions. Compare the same trip with the cash alternative you would realistically buy. Moving points because an exchange ratio looks attractive can leave you with a balance that has no useful redemption. A transfer promotion, when one exists, is only one part of that comparison.
Check minimum amounts and transfer increments in your own account. A ratio describes the exchange, not the smallest transaction you can make. Match the account-holder details and review any restrictions on whose loyalty account can receive points. Read the final confirmation screen carefully, including any fee and the estimated processing time. Do not treat an earlier traveler’s experience as a promise that your transfer will arrive instantly.
Keep evidence for the booking
Make a simple record containing the source program, receiving account, amount sent, expected amount received, time submitted, and confirmation reference. After the balance arrives, complete the reward booking and verify the reservation with the airline or hotel. Avoid repeated transfers while investigating a delay. Contact the source program through its official support route if the transaction does not match the confirmation. The five currency guides explain the distinct questions to ask, with dated source references and practical examples rather than a promise that one currency is always best.
