United's new North Concourse at Houston Bush (IAH) opened Oct. 22 with 22 gates, a three-level 765,000-square-foot building, and a 54,000-square-foot United Club that United calls the largest of any airline in the Americas.
The club seats 800, with an outdoor terrace, two full-service bars, two buffet stations and eleven private phone rooms. More than 105,000 square feet of dining and retail surrounds it. New Houston routes to Cartagena (December) and Caracas (January, subject to approval) are coming too.
The number: 54,000 sq ft.
What to do: Connecting in Houston? Check that your gate is in the North Concourse, then use your club access there. Gates and access rules change; as of Nov. 1, 2026, confirm on united.com.
CARDS: Citi ThankYou adds Copa ConnectMiles
Travel outlets report that Citi ThankYou points now transfer to Copa Airlines ConnectMiles. Reported ratios: 1:1 from Strata Premier and Strata Elite, 1:0.7 from no-annual-fee cards like Strata and Double Cash.
We could not open an official Citi page, so treat the ratios as unconfirmed until you see them on your own transfer screen. Official page not reachable โ confirm before sending.
The number: 1:1 versus 1:0.7, depending on the card.
What to do: Price the award on copaair.com first, then read the ratio, minimum and timing on your ThankYou transfer screen before moving points. As of Nov. 1, 2026; confirm on thankyou.com. Reminder: a reported 10% Cathay Pacific transfer bonus runs through Nov. 14, 2026; confirm on thankyou.com.

United says Starlink is on more than 635 aircraft and more than 2,500 flights a day, with about 20 more planes added each week and a finish line at the end of 2027.
A new tracker at StarlinkTracker.United.com lets you check your flight up to three days out. Aircraft can still swap within 24 hours of departure.

What to do: Check the tracker before a long trip and again the day before you fly. As of Nov. 1, 2026; confirm on united.com or the United app.
