Alaska adds Portland to Steamboat Springs, San Diego to Loreto and Paine Field to San Jose

Alaska Air Group's third-quarter 2026 release lists several new domestic and regional routes. Portland to Steamboat Springs, San Diego to Loreto, Mexico, and Paine Field (Everett, Washington) to San Jose are new. Service from Paine Field to Portland, San Diego and Los Angeles also increases .

Seattle and capacity

The same release repeats that Seattle gains nonstop service to Athens, Paris, Osaka and Papeete from spring 2027, reaching nine of 15 planned international routes by 2030, and that fourth-quarter capacity growth of about 1% to 1.5% is concentrated in international flying .

What the release leaves out
