Crowne Plaza Debuts in Hyderabad: 250-Room Airport Hotel Signed for Q1 2031

IHG announced on Oct 26 that it signed Crowne Plaza Hyderabad Shamshabad Airport Road, the brand's first in Hyderabad. It is scheduled to open in Q1 2031, so this is a long-range signing rather than a stay you can book soon.

What is planned

• 250 keys, including 37 suites, under a management agreement with AR Infra Consultancy.
• Next to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and the 3.5 million sq. ft. World Trade Centre.
• Five food and beverage outlets: a 187-seat all-day restaurant, a 65-seat bar, a 65-seat specialty restaurant, a 65-seat pool bar and a 55-seat lobby lounge.
• 1,170 sq. m. of meeting space across five venues, including an 800 sq. m. ballroom, plus a club lounge, pool, fitness centre, spa and parking.

India context

IHG says it has 53 open hotels across seven brands in India and a pipeline of 110 hotels due to open in the next 3 to 5 years. In Hyderabad it already runs two Holiday Inn Express hotels and has an InterContinental under development.

Timing and facilities can change; as of Oct 27, 2026, confirm on the IHG news page below.
