Delta says free Wi-Fi now covers more than 95% of its fleet, with Asia-Pacific added
Delta announced on Oct. 20, 2026 that it has expanded free Wi-Fi across its Asia-Pacific routes, which it says completes its global connectivity map. The release says more than 95% of the fleet, nearly 1,300 aircraft, is Wi-Fi equipped, and that full fleet connectivity is expected by early 2027, including Delta Connection regional jets and Boeing 717s (checked Oct 21, 2026).
The Wi-Fi is free for SkyMiles Members in all cabins and is presented by T-Mobile. Delta also says there have been more than 195 million Delta Sync Wi-Fi sessions since the 2023 launch. The release does not list the Asia-Pacific routes, session limits or speeds, and planes not yet equipped will not have it (as of Oct 21, 2026; confirm on delta.com). You need to be a SkyMiles Member, which is free to join, so enroll before you fly.
The number: 95% of the fleet. What to do: Join SkyMiles and connect through the Delta app before boarding.
