Delta One Gets a Wagyu Burger, Blanton’s Bourbon and Missoni Kits, Starting From LAX

Delta is overhauling the food, drink and hospitality side of its Delta One premium cabin, and the first place you will see it is on long-haul flights out of Los Angeles.

What is changing

Delta says the program launches "this fall" on transoceanic Delta One routes departing LAX, then expands across the network in 2027. The Delta page does not state a publication date, so treat the exact rollout timing as something to confirm before you book around it.

On the plate. Familiar dishes get premium ingredients, including a Delta One Wagyu beef burger, a regionally inspired sea bass dish and a Champagne Taittinger sorbet pairing. Delta cites roughly 8 million Delta One meals a year across 50 international kitchens and more than 700 ingredients.

In the glass. The wine list was developed with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson: Delta says it evaluated more than 1,600 wines, landed on 13 final selections and works with 11 winery partners. Delta also says it will be the first and only airline to serve Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon.

In your hands. A new tableware collection features the Delta widget, with a custom pepper grinder and a single-serve saucier. Amenity kits from the Missoni Winter Elsewhere collection arrive on board Nov. 3 (as of Oct 27, 2026; confirm on https://news.delta.com/new-era-delta-one), including a wrist strap for use after landing. A new Missoni Mini pillow is coming to transoceanic Delta One flights, but Delta gives no date for it.

In the service. Expect a new "sip & settle" moment and fresh cracked pepper during the first course. Delta says the program went through 14-plus months of testing, 36 trial flights and 200-plus feedback submissions.

The seat is next

The next-generation Delta One suite debuts on the Airbus A350-1000, arriving in early 2027, while refurbished A330 cabins are already underway. Delta cites 35,000-plus engineering hours and 50-plus suppliers from 15 countries behind the suite.

Why it matters for points travelers

This is a product upgrade, not a pricing or award-chart change, and Delta's page announces none. If you redeem SkyMiles for Delta One out of Los Angeles, the experience you get this winter should differ from what the same ticket bought last year. If you are choosing between carriers for a transpacific premium trip, this is worth weighing, but because the rollout is phased, check which aircraft and which flight you are on before assuming you will see the new service. Delta has not said which specific LAX routes get it first on this page.
