KLM Pauses Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam Flights Into Late October
KLM has extended its Middle East flight suspensions. The airline says it will not operate flights to Dubai until and including October 24, 2026, and to Riyadh and Dammam until and including October 31, 2026 (checked Oct 13, 2026). All dates are as of Oct 13, 2026; confirm on the KLM statement page.
A correction to note
KLM updated the statement on Oct 10, 2026 with a correction. The Dubai date of October 24 supersedes an earlier same-day note that listed Dubai through October 31. If you saw the October 31 date for Dubai, use the corrected one (checked Oct 13, 2026).
KLM also says Amsterdam–Tel Aviv resumed August 25, 2026, with a technical stop in Larnaca (checked Oct 13, 2026).
What KLM says it will do for passengers
Passengers on cancelled flights are rebooked, either automatically or through My Trip or the KLM app, and KLM describes the rebooking as free of charge. Refunds are handled through My Trip or customer service. Connecting passengers are rebooked onto the next available flight, and agency bookings go through the agent (checked Oct 13, 2026).
KLM notes passengers may be legally entitled to compensation and links its compensation page. It does not say whether any given flight qualifies.
If you hold a Flying Blue award
If your award ticket routes through Amsterdam to Dubai, Riyadh or Dammam in these windows, check My Trip now. The same goes for anyone who transferred Amex points to Flying Blue to chase a transfer bonus for these routes: confirm the flight is still operating before you move more points.
