Singapore Airlines unveils next-gen KrisWorld screens and Starlink Wi-Fi for 2027

By PerkJolt Travel Desk

Singapore Airlines has announced a new generation of its KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, along with Starlink satellite broadband across parts of its fleet. The release page is dated 22 October 2026, although the newsroom listing shows 26 October.

What changes on board

The airline says 41 retrofitted A350-900 and A350-900ULR aircraft will enter service with the new system progressively from 2027. The A350-900ULR gets a First Class cabin for the first time. Screen sizes listed in the release are 32 inches in First, 22 inches in Business on the A350-900 and 20 inches on the 777-9, up to 16 inches in Premium Economy, and up to 13 inches in Economy on the 777-9. Singapore Airlines lists more than 2,500 entertainment options, refreshed monthly, with content partners that include Apple TV, BBC, CNA, HBO Max, iQIYI and Paramount+.

Starlink Wi-Fi

Starlink low-earth-orbit broadband is due from early 2027 on the A380, A350-900 and A350-900ULR. The release says Suites, First, Business and PPS Club passengers get unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi, and so do KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy and Economy. The airline says the new experience will be unveiled in Singapore in November 2026.

What to do

If you plan to use KrisFlyer miles or a transfer partner for a 2027 trip, remember that the retrofit is progressive. The release does not say which routes or tail numbers get the new product first, so check the aircraft type and seat map when you book rather than assuming. The page also doesn't list any Wi-Fi sign-up steps for KrisFlyer members, so look for those closer to launch.

As of Oct 26, 2026; confirm on the Singapore Airlines newsroom (singaporeair.com/en_UK/us/corporate/newsroom) before you book.
