Earn Free Southwest Rapid Rewards Points

Southwest is handing out free Rapid Rewards points through two promotions tied to its new “Airplane Mode” campaign. Together they can earn one member up to 10,500 points for a few minutes of effort, and no purchase is required.
The two ways to earn
- Notification Vacation (up to 10,000 points): upload a screenshot of your phone’s home-screen notifications at notificationvacation.com. Southwest’s announcement says awards run from a minimum of 1,000 to a maximum of 10,000 points per member, from a pool of 150 million points.
- Burnout Quiz (500 points): take the short quiz at airplanemode.southwest.com. Each verified completion earns 500 points, from a pool of 37 million points.

Who can join
Both promotions are open to enrolled Rapid Rewards members who are 18 or older and live in the 50 U.S. states or Washington, D.C. Each is limited to one entry per member. If you aren’t a member yet, joining Rapid Rewards is free; enroll before you enter.

Timing: go now
The campaign launched October 5, 2026. Southwest says points are available while supplies last, so the pools can run out before any end date. The Burnout Quiz terms say that promotion runs through 11:59 p.m. Central on December 10, 2026, or until all points are awarded. Quiz points generally post within seven days after Southwest verifies your entry.

The fine print
- Quiz points don’t count toward A-List, A-List Preferred or Companion Pass qualification.
- One account per person: Southwest can void duplicate or automated entries.
- The two promotions have separate terms. The most one member can earn is 10,500 points (10,000 + 500).

Is it worth it?
