Where to Stay in Aruba: Palm Beach, Eagle Beach or Oranjestad
Compare Aruba beach and town bases, four direct hotel options, apartment tradeoffs and airport transport, with clear night counts for one to three full days.

How long is your visit?

Choose an Aruba room by the days you want to have: Palm Beach for a beach-centered base near the hotel corridor, Eagle Beach for an open strand and low-rise surroundings, or Oranjestad for a town-centered stay. An apartment can make breakfasts and shared space easier, but its address and kitchen matter more than the word “Aruba” in the listing. Decide which beach or town you will return to each evening before comparing room totals.
The Aruba first-visit guide explains how to combine the coast with wider island outings. For meals away from your hotel, use the Aruba food guide to build a few deliberate dining stops into the same area as your day’s plans.
Palm Beach: beach access with a choice of hotel styles
Palm Beach is a practical starting point when you want your stay to revolve around the northern hotel coast. Choose the exact property carefully: a garden casita near the beach and a room opening onto a resort campus give different daily routines. Check where you enter the sand, whether beach seating needs a reservation, and the route back to the room for an afternoon break. A beach-area address does not establish a beachfront room.
Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is an adults-only casita property at Bakval 20 near Palm Beach. Its official property site and booking link describe a garden setting rather than rooms on the sand. The Boardwalk FAQ says its beach area is reached by a short walk or complimentary shuttle, and kitchens are provided in casitas except the Palapa Lodge. This may suit adults who want some meals at home while keeping beach time central. Confirm the exact category, age eligibility and permitted occupancy before booking.
Mobility needs can change this choice: Boardwalk’s FAQ says its boardwalk paths may not suit all wheelchair users, casitas lack the specific features for full wheelchair access, and there is no wheelchair-accessible path to the beach. Ask about the complete room-to-beach journey. An attractive ground-level room alone does not resolve that route.
Eagle Beach: compare the room with the beach crossing
The Aruba Tourism Authority’s Eagle Beach page describes a wide sandy beach, shaded areas and beach huts, with low-rise hotels nearby or across the road. That makes the exact hotel entrance and crossing a useful comparison. Check which chairs or cabanas belong to your property, whether they are included, and how reservations work. General beach shade is not a reserved place for your party.
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort is an Eagle Beach option for a couple seeking an adult-focused stay. Its official site provides direct availability. The operator’s stay-policy page specifies ages 18 and older, a maximum of two guests per room, and no bookings exceeding two rooms; it also says the resort is unsuitable for group stays. A three-person party therefore needs a different plan, and splitting a larger group across bookings should not be assumed acceptable. The same page says breakfast is included and the resort is not all-inclusive. Read the cancellation penalty for your exact reservation before committing.
Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort offers a different Eagle Beach comparison for families or travelers wanting kitchen facilities. Its official property and direct-booking site describes suites with fully equipped kitchens, a two-bedroom penthouse with a full kitchen, and a honeymoon suite with a kitchen. Compare the actual category’s bedrooms, beds and accepted guest count; a kitchen description does not promise that every room fits your party. Count grocery trips and preparation time alongside potential meal savings. The property advertises a 24-hour front desk, which is useful to investigate for late arrivals; still confirm your arrival arrangements directly.
Oranjestad and apartment bases: town plans or more space
Oranjestad makes sense when you want a town-centered day and evening rather than returning to the northern beach corridor after every meal. The official Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort page places the resort in downtown Oranjestad and distinguishes the adults-only Renaissance Marina Hotel from Renaissance Ocean Suites, whose one-bedroom suites are described for individuals, couples and families. Select the correct section before assessing a rate.
The operator says both sections offer Renaissance Island access with complimentary water taxis. That creates a different beach routine from walking out onto Eagle Beach: ask about the current boat arrangements and which island areas your party can use. Flamingo Beach is described as adults-only. Marriott also states that the resort has no airport shuttle. Island water-taxi service and airport transport are separate arrangements.
For an apartment in Oranjestad or farther inland, treat the listing as an address-specific decision. Request the precise location, accepted guest count, bed layout, cooking equipment, air-conditioning coverage, cleaning charges and after-hours key collection. Trace the grocery and beach journeys before paying. A larger apartment can be useful for separate bedrooms or repeated breakfasts, but that advantage shrinks if every outing requires a vehicle. For two or three full days, avoid choosing a distant apartment solely for a lower headline nightly price; compare the entire stay including transport.
Airport transport and the cost of returning to your base
The airport’s public-transportation page places Arubus stops outside airport property. With luggage, children or mobility needs, compare that walk and the onward route with a door-to-door ride. Its taxi page says taxis are available on arrival and directs travelers to the government-regulated fare source. Use that current guidance for the exact hotel and applicable conditions before boarding; no fixed fare is assumed here.
Arubus’s current route index distinguishes airport, hotel-coastal-strip and Noord services. Check the actual stops and departures for your travel day, including the return after dinner. A hotel’s bus estimate can lag behind the operator. Keep a taxi alternative for a late return, and compare car hire only for the days your itinerary needs it. Ask the property about parking and the rental operator about vehicle suitability for your planned excursions.
Heat, occupancy and a useful room comparison
The tourism authority’s climate overview describes year-round warmth and trade winds. For a lodging decision, that means the walk from room to beach, lunch or bus stop deserves attention. Plan an outdoor morning, a midday break and a later outing; check cooling in every sleeping room, reliable shade and drinking-water arrangements. Wind can make an outdoor terrace pleasant without replacing a cooled bedroom.
Enter the same dates, number of adults, children’s ages and cancellation choice for every comparison. Record the total for all nights with taxes, mandatory fees, cleaning, meals and transport. Ask whether a sofa bed is included or charged, and whether the displayed guest limit applies to the selected room. Adult-only is an age policy, not a guarantee of silence or a party atmosphere: Bucuti’s explicit group limits, Boardwalk’s garden layout and Renaissance Marina’s advertised nightlife point to different fits. Ask about current events and room placement if sleep is a priority.

One, two or three full days: count the nights explicitly
One full day means two nights when you arrive the previous day and depart the following morning. Choose the base that matches that day: Palm Beach or Eagle Beach for a beach day, or Oranjestad for a town-centered plan. Stay in the same room both nights. A single night between arrival and departure normally provides only partial days.
Two full days mean three nights with arrival before Day 1 and departure on Day 3: sleep the night before Day 1, after Day 1 and after Day 2. Keep one base. Give one day to your nearby coast and the other to a planned town or wider-island outing. Choosing a hotel for daily facilities you will barely use can add cost without improving this short schedule.
Three full days mean four nights with arrival before Day 1 and departure on Day 4, after sleeping the night following Day 3. The four nights are the night before Day 1 and the nights after Days 1, 2 and 3. Use one beach day, one town-and-food day, and one wider outing or second relaxed beach day. A kitchen becomes more useful if you will repeatedly eat breakfast at home, while a hotel breakfast can simplify early starts. Keep the same base unless two distinct stays are the purpose: moving rooms consumes packing, transfer and check-in time. Verify official booking terms and transport arrangements for your dates before paying.
